Three ways of voting - one every fouth year, and two with your wallet
As I see it - on the ways towards a sustainable world, there are two markets to move on;
The political market - suffering from inertia and fixed mindsets. And you can only vote every third/fourth year or so (if you live in a modern democracy, that is!).
The economical market - either consuming (buying stuff, demand side) or investing (changing both consumption and production/supply and demand side - if you're lucky!). The latter has a more profound impact, since that is done almost every day!
Even placing a transaction account for your regular salary money is in fact investing - since the time you are not moving that money, that money is used by the bank you have for investing elsewhere in their funds portfolio using the surplus liquidity! Thus, be wise when choosing your financial services partner as well!
